A campus voice mail notification request form is now available. This service allows an employee to receive campus voice mail notifications be sent to a cellular device, University pager, or an e-mail account as a text message or call back to alert that a voice message as been left in a campus voice mail box. A new Web VPN service is now available. This web-based VPN connection allows off-campus computers to connect to ISU electronic resources (ie: departmental file shares) through web browsers (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox). [Oct 2007]

Cellular telephones for departmental use can be purchased from the State of Illinois contract with VerizonWireless. Grid sheets showing cellular models and features, accessory lists, and package plan information can be obtained by e-mailing or by calling 8-8728 or 8-8734. To take advantage of the State contract's discounted pricing, the Cellular Service Request Form must be submitted. [Nov 2005]
Illinois State University employees are offered discounts for personal-use cellular telephones through the State of Illinois contract with VerizonWireless. The State of Illinois and Local Government Employees flyer shows available packages for State employees, and the discounts cover most calling plans of $34.99 or higher including primary lines of SharePlans. To be eligible for State discounts, Illinois State employees must contact the University-assigned VerizonWireless contact person, Tysa Mueller, either via e-mail or by calling 217-622-5813.
