To accomplish our mission, Telecommunications and Networking is divided into four operational units:
Billing and Service Support - This unit is responsible for the placement, tracking, and billing of all service orders for telephone and network services and for all clerical support functions within the Telecommunications and Networking operation.
Networking Systems - This unit is responsible for the network known as ISUnet, as well as all access to it. This includes Internet access and all network security functions and operations.
Structured Wiring - This unit is responsible for enforcing wiring and fiber standards, overseeing the telecommunications and network infrastructure, and supervising the installation of new cable and fiber. This includes all documentation and engineering associated with inside and outside cable and fiber operations.
Telecommunications Services - This unit is responsible for the Operator Services Center, voice mail, conferencing services, automated-call distribution services, and other telephone-related service functions. This includes all telephone switch room functions and switch room maintenance activities and includes major node center facilities over site.
