ACCESS

Allows an incoming call to ring on access line 2 when access
line 1 is in use.
To activate: Press the accept second call key.
To cancel: Press the accept second call key again.

AUTOMATIC
CALLBACK
|
|
Automatically retries busy on campus numbers or on campus
numbers that do not answer.
To activate: When the called number is busy or does
not answer, press 6. Listen for confirmation tone and hang
up. When the called number is available, the system will ring
your telephone (interrupted fast ring). You must answer before
the ringing stops (eight seconds) and your call will be automatically
placed. If automatic callback is not allowed against a number,
you will not hear a confirmation tone.
To cancel: Press #6# and hang up. Back to top

CLEAR KEY
|
|
Used to disconnect calls. Back to top

CONFERENCE
CALL
|
|
Allows you to initiate a conference call with up to eight parties. A
conference tone is heard whenever any member enters
or leaves the conference.
To activate: With the first party on an access line,
press a vacant access line key and call the second party.
After the second party answers, press the conference key.
The conference tone indicates that the conference number has
successfully been added. Repeat this procedure to connect up
to eight parties (including yourself) with a maximum of three
off campus calls.
To cancel: Hang up.
Remember--if you initiate a conference call using long
distance services, you need to be the last party to hang up.
If you hang up before the other parties and they continue
to talk, YOU are still paying for the calls. Back to top

DISTINCTIVE
RINGING

The telephone system provides a unique pattern of telephone
ringing that allow you to distinguish between different types
of incoming calls. Three types of ring signals are provided:
- Single Ring - On Campus Call
- Double Ring - Off Campus Call

DIVERSION
ALL CALLS (used with voice
mail)

Sends your calls to voice mail immediately.
To activate: Press *2#

DIVERSION
NO ANSWER (used with voice
mail)
|
|
Sends your calls to voice mail after 4 rings.
To activate: Press *21#
To cancel: Press #21#

DIVERSION
BUSY (used with voice mail)
|
|
Sends your calls to voice mail if you are on your telephone.
To activate: Press *22#
To cancel: Press #22#

FOLLOW ME
|

Sends you calls to another telephone.
To activate: Press *2*, the five digit station number
where you want your calls to go, #.

HOLD
|
|
Allows you to place a call on hold while you perform other
tasks.
To activate: When you want to place a call on hold,
press the common hold key or press the access key where the
call is located. (Access lamp will flash slowly.)
To retrieve: Press the access key again.
From another telephone: If the call has been placed
on hold using the common hold key, the call can be retrieved
from another telephone. To retrieve the call, lift the
handset of another telephone and enter the number of the telephone
where the call was placed on hold. Listen for a busy tone
and press 8 to retrieve the call. Back to top

INDIVIDUAL
ABBREVIATED DIALING
|
|
Allows you to store a list of 10 frequently called numbers.
To program: Lift the handset and press *51*, the abbreviated
number (0-9), *, the telephone number to be stored, #. Listen
for confirmation tone and hang up.
To activate: Lift the handset and press**, and the
abbreviated number (0-9). The preprogrammed number will be
automatically called. Stored numbers may be up to 20 digits
long.
To cancel a single abbreviated number: Lift the receiver
and press #51*, the abbreviated number to be canceled (0-9),#.

LAST
NUMBER REDIAL (For off campus
calls only)
|
|
Allows you to automatically call back the last off campus
number or long distance number entered from your telephone.
To activate: Lift the handset and press ***. The last
off campus number called will be automatically recalled.
To cancel: This feature cannot be canceled and will
continue to store the last off campus number called. Back to top

PITCH ADJUSTMENT
|
|
This feature allows you to adjust the pitch of your telephone's
ring.
To program: Without lifting the telephone handset,
press the program key "Prog" (lamp will light). Press 0-9
to hear your pitch options. When you find the pitch
you like, press the program key "Prog" again (lamp will go
out) and your new pitch will be memorized. Back to top

STORED
NUMBER REDIAL (For off campus
calls only)

Allows you to store an off campus number.
To program: Lift the handset and enter the off campus
number and press the stored number redial key any time during
the call. Any previously stored number is replaced.
To activate: Lift the handset and press the stored
number redial key. The stored number will be automatically
called.
To cancel: This feature cannot be canceled and will continue to
store an off campus number. Back to top

TRANSFERRING
A CALL
|

To activate: With a party on the line, press a vacant
access line (for example access line 2). The original party
will automatically be placed on hold. Enter the telephone
number for the second party. When the second party answers,
announce the call and press the transfer key; or press the
transfer key any time after the first ring if you do not wish
to announce the call. If the second party does not answer,
disconnect by pressing the clear key and return to the first
party by pressing the line key holding the call. Back to top

VOICE
MAIL MESSAGE BYPASS

If you reach a telephone with voice mail and want to bypass
the greeting message, press 5. This will immediately send
